Anyone who says Darwin was a genius, obviously does not know what they are talking about- a genius would not be wrong. This book on creativity has anti-God sentiment woven through it. If this kind of thing does not bother you, then take a chance and check it out, its only a little boring. The author is also obviously pagan. I was offended by it and that very fact took away any usefulness from me that it may have had. The book celebritizes Darwin and others who are known for being anti-God and pro-evolution.
However, what makes this book so special is in the way it goes on to give you very concise and detailed instructions on how to implement the principles. He then proceeds to break down each concept by introducing you to key principles and real-life examples. If you analyze them thoroughly, the concepts presented in the book seem to boil down to timeless proverbs. If every person in the world had a copy of this book, the world will be a much better place. These are the things that will extract out your creative juices. It allows you to unlock the hidden human potential for novel ideas.A lot of things make this an excellent read - it starts by kicking each chapter off with teasers that try to determine how creatively you would respond to a given scenario. Sounds cliche, but that's the best way to put it.Whether you're an aspiring scientist waiting to nail that revolutionary invention, a business tycoon contemplating about a new product or an ordinary person looking for more creative ways to do things in the house - this book is for you. Most of the time, you will fail to come up with a good idea.
I highly recommend. It also gives me a quick refresher course once every so often. A classic.I will give this book 5 stars. I refer to this book all the time and gain so much inspiration. A Must have. This book will spurn so much creativity within you, along with teaching you how to employ it. The exercises for training creativity is great.
I really found it very intersting, with good methods, and aldo written in an intersting way. What I really like most y that the research behind this book, has really ponder the most important genious way of creating, so it has a good background and very well supportted. This is my 3th book a read about creativity.
Mind-mapping helped considerably narrow down visual arts individual style to preferred media and suitable materials, saving me much wasted time, expense and creativity.
